7th Graders Write Bill

Mr. McAlister's 7th grade class has designed a Bill that has been introduced into the Kansas House. The Bill's number is 2650 and has been referred to Representative Gary Hayzlett's Transportation Committee.
The students are working to change a portion of Highway 75 to the James Lane Freedom Trail.
The hearing for bill 2650 is set for Monday, February 15th at 1:30pm in room 783 of the Docking State Office Building. Mr. McAlister can only take 8 students due to state testing. The students will begin writing speeches during class on Tuesday, and they are pretty excited to see the legislative process in action!
