On the two days that Mrs. Kimble attended the KMEA convention (February 25th and 26th,) the library and music classes combined, and Mr. Brad Hamilton performed "4 Points West, The Cowboy Show- Where Past Meets Present." The four points are God, Family, America and Freedom.
The following schedule was used for the library/music time for those two days.
Thursday, February 25th:
9:00-9:50 Roach/Shupe
11-11:50 Mergen/Hale
1:30-2:10 Eusum/Slimmer
2:30-3:10 Burdiek/Dibbern
Friday, February 26th:
9:00-9:50 Hickman/Long
10:30-11:10 Conley/Riggles
1:30-2:10 Shenk/Cumpton
2:20-3:00 Smith/Thiessen
The show was held in the music room.
Hamilton sings old cowboy and western songs, rope spinning, card tricks and authentic cowboy poetry for the children. His interest for this was that Kansas has a rich history. His purpose for doing this is "to reinforce our values and our western heritage and do it in and entertaining way," said Hamilton.
Hamilton has been entertaining children with his shows for the past 6 years.
