Members of the advanced art class went to the Coleman's Mom and Me Pottery and participated in a Raku firing today. Some fired it blank and melted horse hair, feathers and dandelions on them when the pots were red hot. Others glazed with special glazes and put them in trash cans with newspaper and sawdust. The students were very impressed with the process, even though the weather was working against them with wind and rain, and the pots turned out great!
