Royal Valley had 8 football players chosen for the first-ever Big East All-League team. Senior running back Jaxson Stevens and senior offensive lineman Robert Griffth, Jr were named 1st team. Senior DE/OLB Mason Erwin, junior defensive back Nolan Bausch, junior DE/OLB Paxton Henery and sophomore defensive lineman Josh Rodewald were named 2nd team. Junior offensive lineman Mason Pahmahmie and junior defensive back Griffin Cumpton were named honorable mention.
Coach Jarret Roy reflected on the season. "We had both 1A and 2A teams in our league, and it made it tough on our players. We nominated 7 players per position, and the coaches voted off of the success they saw from playing throughout the year. We played 6 different league schools, and all those schools were able to vote on our guys. Jaxson Stevens rushed for 1466 yards, so he was locked in on getting an all-league spot. Robert had a really successful year for us up front. He blocked for a 1400-yard rusher. After all, we had a good year and we broke a couple of school records."
Senior Mason Erwin added, "Trying to make all league was a big challenge. But it felt great to get all league my senior year, It was a big accomplishment. I put a lot of work in during the off season and dropping to 2A was a huge change."
Senior Robert Griffith Jr. commented that the selection "felt great after not playing for two year! All my hard work really paid off, but I wish we went further into the playoffs."
