FCCLA top gold

The FCCLA State Conference was held April 6-8 2025. Royal Valley was well represented.

Freshmen Lilly Dawson and Mac Nelson received Top Gold in the state for their FCCLA STAR event "Worry Monsters." That gold medal earned them a trip to FCCLA National Conference and an opportunity to present their project at the national level. Lilly and Mac said that before they presented at state, they showed their project to some of the RVES students. They are excited to go to Nationals in Orlando this summer.

Senior Emma Bartley accepted the Community Service Award on behalf of the chapter. She was the lead FCCLA member in charge of creating and distributing the chicken fried rice meals to Royal Valley families. Thank you to Kids Feeding Kids for the grant that made the meals possible!

There are some upcoming fundraisers to help the girls get to Nationals in July. Monique Litherland, FCCLA sponsor, said some upcoming fundraisers include Pulled Pork and Chicken Curbside and middle school and elementary school play day snow cones. Be on the lookout for these and other fundraisers, and help send some Panthers to Nationals.
