It's always a good day when KDOT comes to RVES!
Nominate a friend, acquaintance, teacher, colleague, complete stranger, or anyone who has made an impact and deserves a little holiday cheer. We will celebrate 40 people in our community and one grand prize winner who will receive over $75 in gift cards from the RV FFA.

Permission slips went home last week with 7th and 8th grade students. Please return them Monday or Tuesday (Dec. 2nd & 3rd) so we can get a head count of who is going. We have a RV bus reserved for the Saturday, December 14th, Field Trip!

Jackson County Youth Coalition students presented the hazards of tobacco use to 4th graders Tuesday. There were lots of questions and good discussion!

The Kansas Historical Society has a photography contest for grades K-12 titled Going To School In Kansas. In Mrs. Hainey’s technology classes the students are learning about telling stories with photographs so they can enter the contest. Each student can submit up to five images. This week we did a lesson on juxtaposition and composition. Today the fifth grade had the chance to show what the have learned so far.
T.C. Thomas and Teri Manuel of the Prairie Band Casino and Resort helped JAG-K students get ready for their interviews today.
Mrs. Kahle’s keyboarding class has learned so much this semester that they feel confident enough to play in front of an audience.
Our senior citizens are special so we try to show our appreciation to them with a yummy meal. They are also enjoying some entertainment by students.
